Gossip9.lk News : Jathika Hela Urumaya MP Thushara Swarnatillaka said that 2 interns at the Peradeniya Hospital are conducting secret laparoscopic radical trachelectomy known as LRTs (A Permanent Birth Control Method ) on Sinhala Buddhist mothers who are admitted to the Peradeniya Hospital for childbirth. A group of JHU representatives held a protest in front of the hospital yesterday (2013/06/05) against this matter. Meanwhile, the Health Ministry has commenced a probe on a lady doctor and her assistant on recommending LRTs for expecting mothers during caesarian operations, without their approval.
