Gossip9.lk News : President Maithripala Sirisena has come to a firm position that his forerunner Mahinda Rajapaksa would not be given the prime ecclesiastical candidature or designations from the SLFP at the forthcoming general decision, reports say. Pioneers of Tamil, Muslim and radical gatherings met the president (29) yesterday for a dialog, where the president listened to their solicitation and focused on his position, said United Left Front secretary Lal Wijenayake. In the mean time, a few minority gatherings have asked the eight-part council tasked by president Sirisena with getting the backing of all gatherings to the UPFA have asked that Rajapaksa be not named its prime pastoral hopeful. Pioneers of nine minority group gatherings met this board yesterday for talks. Tamil and Muslim gatherings are absolutely against offering selections to Rajapaksa, however said it would not be an issue if his help is acquired towards the triumph of the UPFA.
