Gossip9.lk News : Colombo Additional Magistrate A.M. Sahabdeen ordered today to remand DIG Vass Gunawardana until 25th this month. SSP attached to the CID Shani Abeysekera submitted a report of the progress of the investigations and a summary report to Colombo Additional Magistrate A.M. Sahabdeen. CID SSP’s report stated that when suspected DIG was being questioned before his arrest, he got up, threw back his chair and threatened the CID sleuths. Attorney-at-Law Ajith Pathirana appearing for suspected DIG Gunawardana told the court that keeping the DIG in the same prison with several inmates who were arrested by the DIG in the past would pose danger to the latter’s life.
