Gossip9.lk News : An advertisement for a low alcoholic beverage produced in Japan has been made using scenes showing the Iconic Sigiriya rock fortress. According to reports, the concept of the advertisement is to convey that consumption of the beverage enables the drinker to obtain a feeling of greatness symbolized by the great historical fortress. Used by King Kashyapa as a rock fortress, it was used as a Buddhist monastery until the 14th century. Sigiriya is named as one of the most visited historic site in Sri Lanka and is a UNESCO listed World Heritage Site. Shooting sites of archeological importance requires the permission of the Archeological Department and permission is granted only if the shoot does not damage the archeological value of the site. - source : 01
