Two people were killed in shooting at a JVP meeting at Katuwana area in Hambantota yesterday evening (2012 June 15). One of the victims was a woman and otherone is the owner of the house where the meeting was held. Armed men in four motorcycles had carried out the attack, reports said. JVP activists, including central committee member Nalinda Jayatissa, were chairing the meeting in that time.
